{"id":733,"date":"2024-02-14T17:26:14","date_gmt":"2024-02-14T17:26:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/manroland-sheetfed.whattheframework.uk\/?p=733"},"modified":"2024-03-18T17:13:09","modified_gmt":"2024-03-18T17:13:09","slug":"ifrs-annual-report-accounts-2023","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.manrolandsheetfed.com\/nl-be\/blog\/ifrs-annual-report-accounts-2023\/","title":{"rendered":"IFRS Annual Report &#038; Accounts 2023"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Langley Holdings plc<\/strong>, the diverse engineering and industrial group, today released its IFRS Annual Report &amp; Accounts for 2023.<\/p>\n<p>The group reported revenues of \u20ac1.21 billion, a slight increase from \u20ac1.17 billion the previous year, resulting in a profit before tax (PBT), of \u20ac124.9 million, up from \u20ac75.7 million in 2022.<\/p>\n<p>At the close of 2023, the group&#8217;s cash reserves were \u20ac290.3 million, net assets \u20ac966.0 million and the order book stood at \u20ac877.4 million.<\/p>\n<p>The\u00a0<strong>Power Solutions Division<\/strong>, encompassing subsidiaries Bergen Engines, Marelli Motori and Piller Group, was a significant contributor to the year\u2019s result, accounting for around half of the group\u2019s revenues and two-thirds of its profits.<\/p>\n<p>Notably, Piller Group had a record year and Bergen Engines signed a landmark agreement to supply 1,000MW of power to Nigeria\u2019s grid.<\/p>\n<p>The Nigeria project will generate around $500 million of revenues when it comes fully on stream and ultimately around $1 billion, including long-term aftermarket revenues.<\/p>\n<p>The\u00a0<strong>Print Technologies Division<\/strong>\u00a0had a disappointing year with Manroland, the group\u2019s German printing press builder, but is set for recovery in 2024, following strategic restructuring and cost reduction measures. Print chemicals Druck Chemie and BluePrint meanwhile both had record years pulling the division back solidly into positive territory.<\/p>\n<p>The\u00a0<strong>Other Industrials Division<\/strong>\u00a0continued to show satisfactory performance, with the various subsidiaries of the diversified portfolio contributing positively to the overall group result.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Sustainability<\/strong>\u00a0remains a core focus for Langley, with significant initiatives underway to reduce environmental impact and lead in the transition to green energy.<\/p>\n<p>The company\u2019s commitment to hydrogen as a future fuel and the development of the \u00a0Ammonia Zero Emissions (AMAZE) project in collaboration with NTNU, the Norwegian University of Science &amp; Technology, highlights this dedication.<\/p>\n<p>Chairman Tony Langley expressed optimism for the future, citing a prudent outlook for 2024 based on the current order book and budget forecasts.
