Leading rigid box printer chooses ROLAND 700 Evolution Ultima®

ISEM Srl, the leader in the European market of luxury rigid boxes for perfumery, cosmetics and champagne, has recently invested in a new 8-colour ROLAND 708 LTTDLV UV Evolution Ultima®.

Founded in Vigevano, Italy in 1949, ISEM initially started its business by producing boxes for shirts, accessories, linens and toys.

Relying on the world’s advanced printing technologies, the company kept growing steadily for decades. Its business became diversified too. ISEM was one of the first in Italy to import new machinery to improve the quality and speed of their processes.

ISEM has always considered technology key to achieving the best efficiency, as well as enhancing its market competitiveness by investing in process automation in the warehouse to drive greater efficiency, accuracy, visibility and cost savings throughout their processes.

The new investment in the ROLAND 708 LTTDLV UV Evolution Ultima® is part of the company’s industrial strategy as it continues to upgrade ISEM's technology.

"In an unpredictable market like ours, it is essential to choose a reliable manufacturer who has invested in technology in order to improve quality and efficiency," Mr. Pintucci, CEO ISEM, says. "We need to meet our customers’ expectations, offering them top-quality products but without compromising the economic aspect“.

The new ROLAND 700 Evolution Ultima® has a tailor-made configuration, unique to the Italian luxury packaging market, designed in partnership with ISEM. For example, the double coating units avoid double print runs to enable print on a wide variety of materials with different colours and varnishes. The TripleFlow Inking Unit discharges the correct inking amount by intelligent integration of ink flow redirection modes. This significantly reduces make-ready times and waste.

Thanks to its many technical innovations, the new ROLAND 708 LTTDLV UV Evolution Ultima® will enable ISEM to play a major role in the constantly changing printing market. Innovation is one of the core values of ISEM, and the new investment reflects this.

Together with the new press, this attractive package includes various printcom® print consumables including lubricants, blankets, dampening and inking roller, and glyco for the inking unit cooling device.

Innovation for ISEM also involves operational processes. In the early 2000's, the company implemented a very efficient turnkey solution; a perfect combination of production and logistics. Products (perfumes, creams, gadgets, etc.) are inserted inside the boxes directly by ISEM sent to the customer without any other intermediate steps.

With more than 160 staff members in Italy and France, ISEM, as one of the key players in the luxury goods sector, is the partner of more than 40 international brands.
