Research and Development

Since its foundation, Manroland Sheetfed has adhered to the philosophy that R & D is the key to creating the next generation of advanced print technologies. With this in mind, the company has continually focused its efforts on research and technological development making the strengthening of basic research and fundamental technologies an important management issue, and has proceeded to create new technologies and technological areas. Manroland also clearly distinguishes between its research activities and development activities, placing priority on highly innovative basic and exploratory research.

Research and Development within the group is aimed at improving the environmental performance of our products. We are also investing in renewable and low-carbon technologies, helping to develop innovative products while providing the understanding on how to reduce the time and cost involved to make them.
