Slovenia-based EGP adds a new ROLAND 700 Evolution to its facility

EGP, a subsidiary of the MSIN Group, a leading offset-printed cardboard packaging printer in Slovenia, has just invested in its second Manroland press. The new ROLAND 700 Evolution, equipped with many automation technologies will boost production capacity at EGP’s Skofja Loka facility twofold.

Founded in 1958, EGP’s total commitment to producing the best packaging products for its clients is evidenced by the continuous investment in technology and know-how.

EGP specializes in folding cardboard boxes for the pharmaceutical, personal care, cosmetics and food industries in the European Union – and these all demand premium print quality.

During more than six decades of innovation and technological excellence, the company has been providing quality printed cardboard packaging with short lead times.

Mr. Zvone Hrovat, EGP CEO: "From the very start we modernized our production line with new printing machines and new tools and only with the world’s advanced printing technology and standardised working procedures could we ensure excellent quality products and service, which guarantees a long-term relationship with our customers. We are delighted with our latest investment. Our business is expanding and the Evolution press suits our needs perfectly".

The decision to purchase this Evolution was made shortly after EGP's last investment - a ROLAND 700 with InlineFoiler and double coater.

The new six-color ROLAND 700 Evolution together with EGP’s double coating and cold foil enhancement abilities on the current press, will make the packaging giant even more productive and responsive to the needs of its clients. It is fully equipped with Quick Start, Simultaneous Plate Loading (SPL) and automatic washing devices which allows washing cycles to be done at the same time as changing plates.

Outstanding print quality is demanded by their clients; brand owners see packaging as their most important brand carrier.

For this, EGP has chosen a Manroland InlineColorPilot to guarantee high quality of delivery piles and the huge cost saving potential for printed materials - key for high-end packaging production.

Mr. Radenko Mijatović, Managing Director of MSIN, and owners of EGP, is confident the Evolution will help their company realize their development ideas:

“We are satisfied with the achievements and activities of EGP. They are one of the major companies driving us forward. With the growth of this business we recognized they needed an additional high capacity machine to support our business strategy. As the Roland Evolution is one of the latest offset press models; its performance exceeded our expectations. We strongly believe that our latest investment will help us fulfil all our development plans.”

Dr. Mario Barišić, Managing Director of Manroland Adriatic:

“We are proud to see that our technology solutions have been chosen by our faithful partner EGP. As Mr. Hrovat has explained already, we have a fully equipped Evolution with the highest automation. With our long-term service commitment, and the premium quality and durability of our products, we strongly believe that we can be part of the mosaic to help EGP reach the next level. We’re going to do our best to fulfil all the needs of our customer and look forward to seeing the new Evolution press running in EGP’s production plant soon.”
