Polish print company is a high flyer

New ROLAND 700 DirectDrive for Tamir Offset Printing House

Tamir Offset Printing House are aiming high. Nothing less than being number one will do for this ambitious Polish printing company. “I would like to be the "best of the best" among the packaging print houses,” said Tamir owner Tadeusz Krywulec. “Therefore I use groundbreaking Manroland Sheetfed technologies.”

Established in 1993, Tamir is well established in Poland for designing and manufacturing folding boxes for the cosmetic, pharmaceutical and food markets. With 90 employees and a modern facility equipped with quality machinery, Tamir ranks itself as one of the biggest printing houses in the Europe. As well as print, the company is fully involved in the creative process;  design consultancy is very much part of the professional services offered.

With Tamir's reputation of creating attractive, quality packaging, Tamir invested heavily in Manroland printing machinery, purchasing a ROLAND 706 LTTLV with InlineFoiler, ROLAND 704 LV Direct Drive and ROLAND 705 LV HiPrint. Recently, a ROLAND 706 LV DirectDrive was added to its thriving operation.

Krywulec is greatly impressed by the InlineFoiler and DirectDrive technologies stating the QuickChange options “reduce make-ready times” while the IntegrationPilot “improves transferring data from PrePress.” The beneficiaries of Tamir’s determined quest to be “the best of the best" among the packaging print houses are, no doubt, their customers in Poland and other European countries.

The reliable and high-performing ROLAND presses more than satisfy the strict quality and color requirements demanded by Tamir's customers. Tamir prints on one or two sides of coated papers and cartons in B1 format, from 60 to 600g. By applying hot-stamping, cold-stamping, embossing, selective varnishing with offset varnish, UV and special varnishes, the boxes produced look elegant and appealing. Based on their Polish and European clients’ quality requirements, Tamir introduced a quality management system including all processes. In 2003, the company acquired ISO 9001: 2001 standard.

“Tamir concentrates on the quality requirements in all aspects of activity by verification of suppliers and supervision of internal process and production,” said Krywulec, stressing that product quality and their timely delivery to clients is a priority for his company. “The reputation of a printing house in the packaging market depends on many aspects; meeting the needs and expectations of customers and creating a friendly environment for work are just two of them,” he added.

Tamir’s expertise is anchored on a professional team of experts combined with good customer service and logistics staff. Plenty of benefits are offered by the company to its employees, both as a reward and motivational tool. Through the years, Tamir has maintained a good relationship with clients because of its professional approach to doing business. Things are expected to remain that way as the Polish printer strives to become the ideal partner to their clients with constantly improving services, high-performing presses and a firm commitment to product quality.
